Built from premium birch wood and finished with a low-VOC EN 71-3 compliant finish, it combines tactile switches, soft comfort-balanced LED lights, parent-friendly sound, a magnetic compass, and open-ended play in one beautifully crafted board.

What makes this board different?

Built around a unique pentagon shape, the Pentagon Explorer brings together five different switch experiences on one board. Each switch has its own colour, physical feel, LED response, and sound behaviour.

Across three sound families, the four main switches unlock 12 core sound-light responses, along with soft mode-confirmation tones and a gentle goodbye sound when play ends.

The five switches

• Blue mini latching switch: simple, satisfying ON/OFF control.

The LED brightness is carefully calibrated — soft and comfortable for indoor use, bright enough to engage, without being harsh or glaring.

Built with safety-first details

The board is made from premium birch wood and carefully hand-sanded to a smooth finish. Every child-facing surface, edge, and corner is checked to reduce roughness and splinter risk.

It is finished with Asian Paints WoodTech Aquadur PU, a water-based, low-VOC finish. The coating is EN 71-3 compliant for low toxic metal content, meeting the European standard for migration of elements such as lead, cadmium, chromium, and mercury from surface coatings.

The AAA Duracell batteries sit behind a firmly screw-secured rear panel designed to prevent casual child access during play. Battery replacement should always be done by an adult.

Hidden detail: the compass

A real magnetic compass is fitted on the board as a quiet discovery detail. Younger children may first see it simply as a moving needle. Older toddlers and children can begin to connect it with direction, orientation, and space.
